Governor Update: Priorities and the Year Ahead

Dear school community,

As we move into the spring term, I wanted to share some updates from the Governing Board following our autumn meetings and the school’s recent self-evaluation work.

We are delighted with the progress being made across the school. Outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2 remain strong, and the leadership team has put in place a robust plan to further raise attainment in writing and mathematics this year. We are particularly proud of the work being done to support children with additional needs, and the governors have approved additional resources to extend this provision.

Our priorities for the year ahead include developing the school grounds to create more outdoor learning opportunities, strengthening our curriculum offer in computing and the arts, and continuing to build on the excellent attendance figures we achieved last year.

The governors are fully committed to supporting the school’s vision. If you would like to find out more about the role of the governing board, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Warm regards,
The Chair of Governors
