National Science Week gave every class the opportunity to step into the shoes of a scientist, and the results were spectacular. From fizzing chemical reactions in Year 5 to paper rocket launches on the playground with Year 2, curiosity was truly the order of the week.
Year 4 conducted an investigation into bridge strength using only spaghetti and marshmallows, discovering first-hand how engineers balance weight and structure. The winning bridge held over 400 grams – impressive work!
Year 6 rounded off the week with a science fair open to parents and governors. Children presented their projects with confidence and answered questions from visitors with real expertise. We were so proud of every single one of them.
